So, what do you think of when you hear preparedness or prepper, or prepping? If you are like me, for a long time I thought the crazy people were those who worry about every little event that is going on in the news. They are worrying about coronal mass ejections, the government taking away all of our rights, war, or something to that effect. You envisioned paranoid people building Fall out bunkers and pulling their families into compounds that are ment only for them and damn the world. Right? I am sure you are thinking that too.

What if it turns out that you don’t have to be paranoid? What if those people may have just gotten carried away with the what-ifs because it allowed them to feel safe and actually accomplished? That is the conclusion I came up with here recently, don’t have to be in a panic. In fact, I see too many in the prepping community who are all about getting the newcomers all worked up and stressed about what is happening in the world. When most of the stuff that is going on actually won’t affect them in any meaningful, long-term way. Yeah, prices may go up or your stocks may bottom out. But when you look at the long term, everything comes back stronger.

Now I am not saying this to poke the other more advanced preppers in the eye, because I know I am an idiot, and I want to learn. That is why I started this blog. I wanted to document what I learn to help those who come behind me while I try to avoid the curse of knowledge. I have a different site that I started back in 2017, and it is still up, and I learned a lot from it. I am still a life coach at heart, but the field I was in, I lost some of the drive for. So I just want to try a different field that I have had some interest in, Basically I want to take my own medicine and follow an interest and with Finland and France both telling their citizens to get ready for some type of war and the state that they are in I wanted to see if I could help everyone be ready for what ever comes with out staying up al night fretting about something that very well not happen. So here I am, a new prepper who is documenting his journey of Captain Oblivious to helping families and men in particular to help protect their families and neighbors to build that Community pillar. You become stronger and a better leader through learning and the effort you apply. So join me on this adventure as questions share your ideas, and help me learn a better way to be prepared for the unknown.
